Header names must match exactly and are entered as a comma-separated list. Headers containing commas cannot be selected that way. Up to 10 MB, 50,000 rows and 200 columns; rectangular CSV with unique nonblank headers required. CSV output has a conservative 20 MB cap.
Instructions and examples
From input to output
- Choose a CSV or open its optional paste area.
- Enter exact header names in Columns to keep, separated by commas, or use the available column buttons.
- Select Keep selected columns and inspect the CSV before downloading.
Settings and result behavior
- The entered order becomes the output column order. Unselected columns are omitted; rows retain their source order.
- The column buttons preserve exact header names, including commas and outer spaces. Selection order controls the output. The optional text field accepts simple comma-separated names.
A worked example
- Input
id,name,note 001,Ada,ready 002,Lin,review
- Settings
- Columns to keep: name,id.

Supported input and limits
Choose a UTF-8 CSV, TSV or TXT file, or open “Paste CSV instead”. Use comma, semicolon, tab or pipe separators. A header row with unique nonblank names and the same field count on every row is required. CSV exports retain the detected/selected delimiter and protect formula-like cells with an apostrophe.

If the result is unexpected
- For a missing-header error, check exact spelling and case.
- If a name contains commas or edge spaces, rename it through CSV cleanup or the source application before selection.
Check before using the result
Check that required identifiers are retained and unnecessary fields are absent. Review protected cells before importing the output.
