Quarter turns fit the canvas. Other angles can clip corners because the canvas is not expanded for arbitrary rotation. Up to 25 MB per file and 16 megapixels input/output.
Animated files are processed as a still image. Re-encoding may change color profiles and metadata.
Instructions and examples
From input to output
- Choose an image.
- Select Rotation and optional horizontal or vertical flipping.
- Select Rotate or flip and inspect the PNG result.
Settings and result behavior
- Rotations are 0°, 90°, 180° or 270° clockwise.
- Flipping mirrors the source axes before the rotation is displayed. Using a flip after a quarter-turn can look different from mirroring the final screen.
A worked example
- Input
A 1200 × 800 image with readable text.
- Settings
- Rotation 90°; both flip options off.
- Expected result
An 800 × 1200 PNG rotated clockwise.
Supported input and limits
Choose PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or BMP that your browser can decode. Animated sources are processed as a still image. Re-encoding can change metadata and color rendering. Output is PNG.

If the result is unexpected
- If words appear backward, switch off flipping and run again.
- Use 0° to mirror without rotating. Keep a source copy if the source already has orientation metadata.
Check before using the result
Check text direction, orientation and all edges. Re-encoding may change the original metadata and color rendering.
